🌍Why the most important meal isn't on my table. Exciting news!

Hi Reader

Today I want to share with you something that's been on my heart for quite a while.

Many of you have been following The Real Meal Deal for years. Some of you have been here almost from the beginning. What started as a search for practical family meals has grown into a community of people who care about eating well, wasting less and making thoughtful food choices.

Over the years, I've learned that food is about so much more than recipes.

The way we grow, buy, cook and waste food affects our health, our budgets, our environment and communities around the world. More than anything, food connects us.

That idea has shaped the direction of The Real Meal Deal from the very beginning, and it's the reason I'm so excited to share some news with you.

The Real Meal Deal is now an official corporate partner of Mary's Meals.

If you haven't heard of them before, Mary's Meals is a remarkable international food aid charity that provides daily school meals to children living in some of the world's poorest communities. What began in 2002 by feeding just 200 children in Malawi has grown into a global movement that now feeds more than 3 million children every school day across 16 countries.

What really impressed me when I first discovered Mary's Meals was the simplicity of their model. For just £19.15, they can provide a child with a daily meal for an entire school year!

Just pause and think about that for a moment.

A whole year.

Imagine knowing that somewhere in the world a child is sitting in a classroom, learning, growing and looking forward to the future because they know they will receive a meal that day.

The more I learned about Mary's Meals, the more I realised how closely their mission aligns with everything The Real Meal Deal has always stood for.

Food matters.

Not just because it nourishes us, but because it has the power to change lives.

That's why I've made the decision that from May 2026, all profits from The Real Meal Deal will be dedicated to supporting the work of Mary's Meals.

This feels like a natural next step for the site and, honestly, exactly where I feel I'm supposed to be.

Of course, none of this happens without you.

Every visit, every recipe you cook, every article you read and every time you share The Real Meal Deal with a friend helps support this mission.

Look out for the launch of my brand new ebook coming soon. Every copy purchased provides enough funding to feed one child for an entire school year through Mary's Meals.

Whether you've been here for years or you've only recently joined, thank you for being part of this journey.

I'm incredibly grateful for your support, and excited to see what we can achieve together in this next chapter.

Because every bite, every meal and every choice matters.
